Not listed here? What to ask
A life coach who is not on WhatLifecoach may still be trained, credentialed and insured. Before you book, it is reasonable to ask:
- Which coaching credential they hold, and which body awarded it
- Where you can look it up yourself, such as the ICF's Verify a Coach directory
- Whether their professional insurance is current
- How sessions work, what they cost and how long they last
- What happens if you need to cancel
Be cautious of anyone who promises a result, a new job or an income. Our verification standard lists the credentials we accept.
